What to expect At Your First Visit

Dr. Contes and his team are always excited to meet new patients during their first visit to our office. There is no charge for this initial visit. Our goal is to make your experience as comfortable and informative as possible. At this visit,    Dr. Contes will perform a thorough clinical exam and discuss potential treatment options. This important visit will give us insight into your orthodontic needs. During your initial consultation, we will:

  • Help you create a customized treatment plan

  • Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans

Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all the information you need to determine which treatment is right for you. Please contact our office to schedule your initial consultation.

What happens after the initial consultation?

You're one step closer to achieving the smile you've always wanted! After your consultation, we will schedule your records appointment. At your records appointment, Dr. Contes will review your dental and medical history forms, provide a complete oral exam, and take radiographs, photographs, and impressions. During this time our team will be available to make sure you are as comfortable as possible.  At your next appointment treatment will begin!

Scheduling appointments

A very important part of your orthodontic treatment is keeping your regular appointments. On average, your appointments will be every four to eight weeks.

If you're running late or need to reschedule, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. Our office does require a 24 hour cancellation notice to avoid a missed appointment fee.  Contact our office and our friendly scheduling coordinator will assist you in (re)scheduling your appointment.

Visiting the Dentist during orthodontic treatment

Continue to visit your family dentist once every six months for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups during your orthodontic treatment. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure you receive the best care possible.
